No one could have imagined, but it has finally been revealed: Jennifer Lopez’s grandmother on her father’s side was originally from Armenia. According to family legends, she moved to the Caribbean at a young age, where the Puerto Rican branch of the Lopez family was later formed.
They say she loved lahmajoun and ghapama.
Upon arriving in Yerevan, J.Lo confessed that Armenian culture feels very close to her heart. In her dances, you could even notice a subtle shadow of Kochari.
And they say her real Armenian name was Julieta Lopyasyan.
